In that month, he was stricken with a severe case of Strep throat. So much so, that in one quick instant, he coughed, and blew out his vocal chords. Literally! He was immediately rushed to University Hospital in Columbus Ohio, where surgeons concluded that he never would be able to talk again. The doctors said that only one person in eleven cases that this occurs to was able to whisper. However, Denvil knew that God would use this situation as a witness to the power of healing, so he stood on the promise that he would minister again.

     As 18 months pass by, he felt God moving in his spirit. One evening a local pastor called him, unaware of the affliction that Denvil was under, and asked him to come to his church and preach a revival. Even though Denvil had no voice, he  stepped out in faith that God was going to provide a miracle that he would be able to talk by the time he stepped up to the microphone.

     The first night was a challenge, but “Walking in faith”, he pressed on. As he would continue to preach, he heard a voice speak to him saying.. “Remember what the doctors said. You can’t talk.” At that very moment, the lord spoke to him saying, “Yes, but I am here go ahead! Suddenly, a noticeable depth came back to his voice but now, He shouted!

 

     Though his voice is not as it were before the accident in the beginning, God slowly continues to strengthen his voice on a daily basis. As God has proven many times, he is in the miracle business.
